Then look no further than Marquee Photoworks in Maynard, MA. Housed in the second floor of an historic downtown building, Marquee Photoworks has two studio spaces for rent. The entry has a main street front location with a wide staircase that leads up to the second floor studio that is currently the home to 4 other artists. The studio has large windows, painted hardwood floors and 12 foot high ceilings. The studio space is centrally located to Acton, Hudson, Worcester, Framingham, and just a short drive from Boston and Waltham.
The first space is approx. 450 sq. feet. Restrooms and a dressing area are located right next to the studio space. Heat, air and electrical are included. The building has 24 hour access, but is not a live in space. This space would work well for a photographer, painter or many other types of art work. Would also work well as a shared spacewith perhaps 3 or 4 photographers. $390 a month. Flexible lease terms.
The second space is approx. 160 sq feet and would work well for a smaller studio, painter, jewelry maker, perhaps. Or for an office away from home. The same is included as above, for this space. $200 a month. Flexible lease terms. Photo not available.
Maynard is home to Art Space, which is a wonderful option for artists of all kinds, but has a very long waiting list. This is an affordable option for artists of all types, in the middle of a thriving downtown area. Many other spaces require long lease agreements and may not always include utilities.
