What is a Home Portrait Party?
Host a party at your home, invite your friends, earn free portraits. There is no sitting fee and no minimums to buy. There is no catch, except having fun and capturing great expressions.
The Basics:
Parties can run for a few hours, with sessions running 15 minutes back to back. You book the sessions. You need a minimum of 6 sessions (including your own, 1 session per family unit) to book a party. I come to your home, set up a simple studio set up (or you can do outside or at my studio), take pictures of your friends and family, and you earn free portraits. We stay in touch during the whole pre and post party time frame.
How do people order portraits?
Approximately a week after your party, you and your guests wil be able to access your portraits in an online gallery. Special party packages are offered at a significant discount off regular portrait prices. There are no pose restrictions and no minimums to purchase. The regular portrait price menu is also available for smaller quantities and add ons. Orders must be placed with in a week of the gallery going live to receive hostess credit. Reorders are, of course, accepted, but no credit can be given for late orders. Credit cards and checks are accepted.
What do I have to do?
As the hostess, you provide a place for me to set up and take the portraits. If you do not have enough space, other options are co-hosting with a friend that has a larger home, using a garage, coming to my studio or using
an outside location or yard. Your other duties are sending invites to your guests, booking the time slots, being
in contact with me regarding guest information (ages, numbers, etc), collecting payment and delivering the final orders. All the forms you need will be provided to you.
What do I get for all this work?
You get beautiful portraits, FREE! And lots of fun, socializing with friends and family. By booking at least 12 sessions you earn 15% of total portrait sales that are placed with in the week deadline of the party. If you book 8 to 11, earn 10%. Book 6 or 7 sessions and earn 5%. This can add up quickly, providing you with beautiful portraits to display in your home and share with friends and family.
Portrait parties are a great way to get professional portraits, and good for many occasions. Need an updated family portrait? Want a portrait with all the kids together? How about Fido? Even engagements or anniversaries work well. So lets have some fun, lets throw a party!!
